Safety & reporting
Airtinary lets people share trips and postcards with others, so it comes with controls for dealing with content and accounts you don't want to see. Our Community Guidelines describe what is and isn't allowed.
Reporting a post
Tap the ••• menu on any postcard and choose Report. You'll be asked why:
- Inappropriate content — nudity, violence, or content that isn't safe for everyone.
- Harassment or bullying — targets or demeans someone, including you.
- Spam or scam — advertising, a scam, or a misleading link.
- Doesn't relate to me — uses your photo, name, or trip without your involvement.
- False information — presents something untrue as fact.
- Something else — anything else that breaks the rules.
You can add details if it helps. We review every report within 24 hours. If a post breaks our rules we remove it and warn its author; repeated or severe violations cost the account. Reports are not shown to the person you reported.
You can also report content by emailing support@airtinary.com — include a link to the post or the account's username.
Blocking someone
Blocking is immediate and doesn't wait on us. Tap ••• on a postcard and choose Block, or open the person's profile and choose Block from the menu there.
A block works in both directions:
- You won't see their postcards, and they won't see yours.
- Neither of you will find the other in search.
- Any follow between you is removed, in both directions.
- They are never told they were blocked.
Blocking takes effect straight away, everywhere in the app. It applies to your account rather than your phone, so it follows you to any device you sign in on.
Unblocking
Go to Settings → Blocked Accounts for the list of everyone you've blocked, each with an Unblock button. Because blocking also hides that account from your search, this list is the way back — unblocking from anywhere else isn't possible. Note that unblocking does not restore follows that the block removed; you can follow each other again afterwards.
Illegal content or someone in danger
Email support@airtinary.com with Urgent in the subject. We remove child sexual abuse material and non-consensual intimate imagery on sight and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the appropriate authority, as described in our Terms of Service. If someone is in immediate physical danger, contact your local emergency services first — we can't dispatch help.
Your account
Deleting your account
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, postcards, and trip content from view immediately, and disables sign-in. Files are held in restricted storage for 30 days before permanent destruction, so an accidental deletion can be reversed — see Data Retention & Deletion in our Privacy Policy for the detail, including why reported content is kept longer.
You don't need to email us to delete your account, and we won't ask you to. If the in-app deletion fails, tell us at support@airtinary.com and we'll do it for you.
Resetting your password
On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password and enter your email. We'll send a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder — and if you originally signed up with Google or Apple, you don't have an Airtinary password at all; use that same button to sign in.
Changing your username or profile
Go to Settings → Account. Your username is how other people find and mention you, so changing it means old links to your profile stop working.
Signing in with Google or Apple
You can sign in with email and password, with Google, or with Apple. All three reach the same account as long as they share an email address. If Apple's Hide My Email gave you a private relay address, that counts as a different email and will create a separate account.
Common questions
How do I invite people to a trip?
Open the trip, go to Members, and invite by username or by sharing the invite link. People need an Airtinary account to join. If an invite never arrived, check that the username is right and ask them to look in their notifications — invites appear in-app, not only by email.
Someone left the trip but still shows up
Pull to refresh the trip. If a former member is still attached to an expense or an activity, that's intentional — historical records keep whoever was there at the time so the maths stays correct.
How do shared expenses work?
Add an expense, pick who paid and who it's split between, and Airtinary tracks the running balance for the trip and suggests the smallest set of payments that settles everyone up. Airtinary does not move money. We're a ledger, not a payment processor — settle up between yourselves however you normally would.
I'm not getting notifications
Check Settings → Notifications in the app, then iOS Settings → Airtinary → Notifications. If you declined the permission prompt when you first signed in, iOS won't ask again — you have to turn it back on in iOS Settings.
What is Zumi?
Zumi is Airtinary's AI travel companion. It suggests places, drafts itineraries, and answers questions about your trip. Its answers are generated, so they can be out of date or wrong — check anything that matters (visa rules, opening hours, safety advice) against an official source before you rely on it.
Who can see my postcards?
It depends on how you shared them. Trip media stays with that trip's members. Postcards go to your followers, and if your account is public they may be visible to anyone, including through search engines. Our Privacy Policy spells out each case.
Something in the app is broken
Email support@airtinary.com with your username, your device and iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot helps more than anything else.
Accessibility
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). If any part of Airtinary is difficult to use with assistive technology, tell us at support@airtinary.com and describe what you were trying to do — those reports get treated as bugs, not suggestions.
